Sometimes a proof is all you get. We spent about 6 hours in slush and rains to get this Painted Bush Quail. One of us even fell twice due to slush, thankfully no injury or damages to the camera gear. We wanted to get the male (with white eyebrow) to pose nicely (eg) on a rocky perch . It’s an extremely shy bird and it runs away as soon as senses movement/predators. To complicate our lives, it was drizzling the entire duration. This was the only time we spotted it, we would just hear the calls and we knew they are foraging nearby through the bushes.
